The Parent's Desire

God has given us treasures to groom.. We receive our children from God, like raw gems they must be polished.. We do the best we can in polishing them, inside and outside. Feeding them, cleaning them, dressing them, teaching them, educating them, instilling values in them, disciplining them, protecting them and above all loving them.

We tirelessly give them whatever they need, year in year out, messing up here and there, but picking up ourselves and moving on. All in hope that one day they will be honorable, disciplined, hardworking, loving, and most of all, God fearing.

The all-able God has placed in our insufficient hands these treasures, to bear, raise and present back to Him. May He give us the wisdom, strength and grace to do a job worth praising.

Psalm 127:3-5

Children are a heritage from the Lord,
    offspring a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court.
