Inner Peace

There are two descriptions of peace; One is the absence of trouble(most common description) and the other is that stillness in the soul that can endure through situations as turbulent as storms. The quietness that comes from confidence in the LORD. Confidence that He is in control.

The 'peace' that comes from absence of turmoil or trouble is temporary and not so strong. Anything can shake it... You may have all you need and still be anxious, fretful, unsettled and even dissatisfied. Always yearning for more.

The peace that comes from God is absolute. It surpasses human understanding.
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid"

So how can this peace be acquired?

Philippians 4:6-7"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

The peace that God gives is beyond our understanding as humans. It is able to guard our hearts and minds from fear, anxiety, fretfulness, and all the troubles these conditions bring along.

So, pray to the Almighty, and gladly leave your requests in His very able hands.
